Page 72: manorial courts We have been asked whether (and if so how) a company which owned a manor could exercise the right to hold manorial courts. In view of comments in the old books on copyhold and manorial matters it seems unlikely that a company could exercise such rights. Otherwise, there is no legal reason why a manor should not be owned by a company.
